Please ensure you read through our policy before booking a service.
With the recent announcement by the NZ government about moving the country into the COVID-19 Protection Framework, we are taking every effort to ensure the safety of our clients and staff, and to minimise the disruptions to our business.
While we no longer require vaccine passes to operate, we will still need to wear masks, social distance and keep up hand sanitizing practices.
We do like to use our client photos for marketing on social media, however if you are uncomfortable with this please let us know.
A 20% deposit is required to secure all bookings. This deposit is non refundable except in extreme circumstances.
Your deposit will be credited to the final amount of your service.
In the event of a lockdown or other circumstance that means we cannot enter the salon, your deposit will be kept and your appointment will be rescheduled to a later stage. We will be in touch if this is the case.
You may cancel or reschedule your booking until 48 hours before your appointment. If you cancel after this you will be charged 50% of your total booking. (This includes your deposit)
All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the salon. No exceptions.
No children are to be left in the salon while you receive your service. You will be charged the above cancellation fee for this.
Bringing company to your service
Our salon is only large enough to accommodate our guests and staff. For that reason we request that you are not accompanied by anyone to your appointment unless you are a child or you have an exceptional circumstance. Please discuss this with us at the time of your booking so arrangements can be made.
Please be aware that we operate a natural salon in every sense of the phrase. All the results we create are never achieved through the use of heat tools and are the clients natural hair.
The best results and transformations take time. If your hair is excessively heat, chemically or physically damaged, you need to understand that it is going to take time to reverse that damage and be realistic about what you expect your initial results to be.
We will be there to help guide you and give you advice on how to best look after your hair, but it will take time to nurture damaged hair back to health.
Keep at it. As long as you are consistent, you will be stunned by the long term transformation.
Our salon is a safe space for people who have otherwise never been catered for in mainstream salons. Our practices are therefore a little different to what you may be used to. All we ask is that you keep an open mind. Bring a notebook with questions or just to take notes, you will learn so much in your appointment that will serve you.
Part of providing a safe space for our guests is our Clear Cut policy. We understand that a lot of mainstream cutting methods can leave textured haired people feeling traumatized and triggered by hair cutting. Our Clear Cut policy means no cutting until you are clear and comfortable with the plan, that this has been communicated to you and you have agreed to the plan. We want you to be involved as much as you or would like to be. If we feel your hair needs to be cut shorter (for damage) we will let you know, but it is ultimately up to you how short you want to go, and we will respect your decision.
Should you change your mind about going through with your booked service please be aware that you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the total service booked.
